After the send and receive worked I went back into options and changed it back to the way it was earlier and have not had any problems since. I've uninstalled Windows Live Mail. Here's how it works. I did not have to uninstall my windows live to download Thunderbird and there seems to be no conflict.

Then wait 20 minutes or so and see if will then work.If it does not work after doing this try deleting the sky account in your email client and then re-adding
