But, still in stereo (i clicked 7.1 in setup of sound and in media center, no difference)FYI, i would install third party software after, after, testing the clean environment.If everything works But if I try to use HDMI for audio and video, I can only play items if they are in stereo. I have my revo connected via HDMI to my Amp for Audio & video and then video onto LCD. I've do no new installs, no changes to the computer other than updating the ATI video drivers to 9.12.

I tried pushing this as a potential bug to Windows support but I'm not sure how much traction I got (they don't share the report they are supposedly sending to the this contact form Disabling sound effects in WMC allows 5.1 audio over HDMI.
